Jason Hanson, a solid NFL veteran, and one of
the NFL’s most productive kickers, is the Lions’
all-time scoring leader, as well as their all-time
leader in field goals and extra points. He
became just the 20th
player in NFL history to reach the 1,300-point mark
in 2004. Hanson has moved into first place on the
team’s all-time games played list. He owns
several other team records including the
single-season scoring record with 132 points in
1995, the two longest field goals ever made (55 and
56) and the team’s longest streak of consecutive
field goals made (24 in 1997). Hanson also
played in the 1997 and 1999 NFL Pro Bowl.
