Sam Randolph, an outstanding golfer, was
the 1985 U.S. Amateur Champion and also the
1985 California State Amateur Champion.
He was a 3-time, first-team All-American at
the University of Southern California.
While there, in 1985, he also and received
the coveted Fred Haskins Award (awarded to
the outstanding collegiate player of the
year -- which is voted on each year by
coaches, players and members of the media).
Randolph was the low amateur at the Masters
in 1985 & 1986, and also at the U.S. Open in
1986. His only PGA Tour victory came
in 1987 at the Bank of Boston Classic.
Randolph played on the Nationwide tour in
1990 and from 1992 thru 2002. He split
his playing time on both the Nationwide and
PGA Tours in 2003. Overall, Randolph
has amassed three second-place finishes on
the Nationwide Tour.
